NAGICO Insurances was the platinum sponsor of the Rotary Club of East Nassau (RCEN) 28th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which was recently held at the prestigious, world-renowned Ocean Club Golf Course.
Tournament organizer Phil Andrews and RCEN President Philip Cumming thanked NAGICO during a briefing on tournament rules and then waved the golf carts off. The well-attended event saw 92 golfers take part in a two-man scramble. A fun but highly competitive game followed and, after the full 18 holes were played, the father and son team of Donald and Geoffrey Tomlinson emerged victorious, taking home the NAGICO Champions trophies.
More than $120,000 was raised from the tournament, which will go to the Scouts Association of The Bahamas and to the numerous other community service projects undertaken by RCEN. During the awards and prize-giving ceremony, Vibert Williams, managing director of NAGICO Bahamas, thanked RCEN for the opportunity to partner in such a grand, charitable and fun event and stated that to "do good and have fun is a win-win". He ended by commending RCEN and committed NAGICO to, once again, be the platinum sponsor of the next Rotary Club of East Nassau Charity Golf Tournament.
