The US Coast Guard flew into Abaco at the first opportunity to assist those critically injured in the passing of catastrophic Hurricane Dorian.  Packing sustained winds of 185mph with recorded gusts up to 220mph, Dorian dragged through The Abacos with historic strength and fury leaving the entire country and the world over in utter disbelief.

As Hurricane Dorian drags through the Bahamas many residents in the Abacos have already been forced to safer ground.  Being called the strongest storm in modern history Hurricane Dorian has brought extensive flooding throughout Abaco forcing some to seek higher ground.  In other instances roofs have been lost, and at least on family reports leaving their home during a lull in the storm to seek refuge with a neighbor as they felt their roof could not sustain the force of the winds much longer.
