Statement from Kevin D. Seymour, Grand Bahama Children’s Home Chairman on the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
Mon, Sep 12th 2022, 04:22 PM
On behalf of the Grand Bahama Children’s Home (GBCH), our board of directors and the Donor community, we send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, citizens of the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth at-large, on the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
We were privileged only earlier this year to host her Grandson and his wife, the now Prince and Princess of Wales, to our Home for a visit with our children, in recognition of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee anniversary. The visit of Prince William and Princess Kate was in keeping with Queen Elizabeth’s commitment to service, caring for the less fortunate and her enduring support of charitable works.
This significant highlight will forever be etched in the collective memories of our children. Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth and know that we are forever thankful for your service beyond self, to the very end.
