The Singers Loft where great singers are made is a music training studio run by Lee B. Callender, Pianist, Vocal coach and Speech coach.
My goal is to help singers Discover, Develop and Display their Vocal Potential.
While my primary focus is on singers I also offer training for pianists.
VOICE SESSIONS:
In the individual vocal sessions singers begin a systematic journey toward vocal discovery and self-discovery, resulting in the singer becoming a well-rounded confident artist.
Many practical topics are covered such as breathing, breath management, breath support, repertoire choices, song interpretation, vibrato, and expression.
VOCAL WORKSHOPS:
The Vocal workshops are designed to give singers the basics of vocal technique in a simple and useful way. Topics include: posture, breathing, breath support, breath management, releasing a sound, tone, jaw motion, singing through the vowels, diction, consonants, vibrato, opening the throat, vocalizing, legato singing, and projection.

PIANO SESSIONS:
Piano sessions are always one on one which allow for the necessary high level of care required in training a pianist to play in comfort and with ease.
Sessions include music reading, rote learning and technical work.
Technical work involves learning to use the hands in a correct manner at the piano. Scales, broken chords, and arpeggios are included as a basic component of piano playing.
I also train pianists for the A.B.R.S.M. or Trinity College Exams from grade 1 through 8, and up to the Licentiate Level. (L.R.S.M or L.T.C.L.)

MUSIC ASSESMENTS:
Music assessments provide soloists or groups with a detailed analysis vocally, artistically and performance wise. Observations will be documented and recommendations made to assist in your journey to a higher level of vocal performance. Assessments include commentary on the singer or pianist�s technique, artistry, performance, and expression.
SPEECH COACHING:
These sessions are great for anyone involved in public life, regardless of your profession. You will learn how to use your voice in a more efficient manner, improve your tone quality, speak more clearly with increased confidence.
