The Council primarily regulates the medical profession in The Bahamas, registers all doctors, and issues licenses to doctors registered under Section 9 of the Medical Act, 1974.
The mission of Bahamas Medical Council is to ensure and safeguard the higher standards of Ethics, Practice and Education while ensuring that the interest of patients, the public and the profession is best served.
