Description

Mission Statement:
The Crisis Centre is a non-profit, ideologically independent organization primarily pledged to respond to the needs of all victims of sexual, physical and psychological abuse.
The Centre also advocates for legislative and societal protection of survivors and raises public consciousness through education and information.

The Crisis Centre, formerly known as The Women's Crisis Centre, is a registered, non-profit organization that provides services to people who are the victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

The Centre was opened in 1982 by Dr. Sandra Dean-Patterson, who saw an urgent need in the community for such a facility. During the time the Centre has been in operation, the number of volunteers has grown steadily and the scope of services rendered to the community has been considerably expanded.

If you are, or anyone you know is, experiencing any form of abuse, or you want to talk about a relationship problem, please call the Crisis Centre Hotline.

The Hotline is available 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays and we have counselling services throughout the week.
