Since the passage of the Real Estate (Brokers and Salesmen) Act 1995, BREA has been empowered by law to be the regulatory body to oversee the practice of real estate business and the licensing of real estate agents in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

Our licensed members are qualified and professional through our mandatory education and testing and adherence to our Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Many of our licensed members have continued their education and hold certifications recognized throughout the world such as the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designations.
