Thursdays class is all about the core & sweating!

All levels are welcomed to join this 1 hour core engaging, power workout flow. Power Yoga is a workout that will make you sweat as we target mainly the core and other areas to build strength. This class is a series of poses where you hold each for five breaths before moving through a Vinyasa flow on each side. Power Yoga classes move with a steady but fast rhythm.

RISA Roundtable Seminar

The Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association (Bahamas) (“RISA Bahamas”) will host an inaugural roundtable event featuring a selection of industry experts on 30 May 2019 at the British Colonial Hilton.

The roundtable discussions intend to generate dialogue on proposed amendments to insolvency legislation in The Bahamas including the following:
• The Companies Winding Up Amendment Act 2011
• The Companies Liquidation Rules
• The International Commercial Arbitration Bill 2018
• The Arbitration (Amendment) Bill 2018
• The Bankruptcy Act 1870
• The Bankruptcy Rules 1876

Panelists consists of a selection of seasoned insolvency practitioners such as Mr. Brian Moree QC (McKinney Bancroft & Hughes), Mr. Philip C. Dunkley QC (Higgs & Johnson), Mr. John Delaney QC (Delaney Partners), Mr. Brian Simms QC (Lennox Paton), Mr. Ed Rahming (Intelisys Bahamas) and Mr. Igal Wizman (Ernst & Young). The Panel will be moderated by Sophia Rolle-Kapousouzoglou (Lennox Paton).

Hands For Hunger 7th Annual Food for Thought Panel Discussion

Every year in observance of World Hunger Day (May 28th), Hands for Hunger hosts a panel discussion and open forum on the topics of national food security, health, and hunger. The event features a seasoned panel of industry professionals to answer questions and speak on the aforementioned topics.
This year we are hosting the 7th Annual Food for Thought panel discussion at the University of The Bahamas Library Auditorium at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 30th. This discussion is open to the general public and is entitled “Feeding the Future: Are We Doing Enough?”

Food For Thought is an inspiring and unique opportunity to engage diverse members of the community on a topic related to food security in The Bahamas. The panel will consist of government officials working with school feeding; technology professionals; food industry leaders; community activists; and others who we believe will enrich the conversation.
