Junior Junkanoo Festival & Parade | Mayaguana

This parade provides an opportunity for children to get involved in the National Festival of The Bahamas. Schools from across the Bahamas will parade with preschool, primary, all-age, junior and secondary divisions competing for the top honors. Come and experience our culture and music, while partaking of delicious native food and drinks, which will be for sale.
7th Annual Patrick Davis Songwriter's Festival | Hopetown

7th Annual Patrick Davis Hope Town Songwriters Festival to be held on Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. For the seventh year in a row, Hope Town will come alive in late February with the sound of music. From February 12th through the 17th, an all -star roster of talented songwriters will converge on several different venues in Hope Town to perform original songs for the 7th Annual Patrick Davis Hope Town Songwriters Festival.

Citizen Science Saturdays At Ardastra Gardens

Our FREE program designed for the whole family- Citizen Science Saturdays!
Each month, we will get involved with a different citizen science project and learn how to contribute valuable data to scientists here at home and all over the world.
This month we will learn how to get involved with Nature's Notebook. Participants will adopt an area to monitor and document the seasonal changes of plants and animals to help scientists with ongoing research.
Children can earn community service hours for participating.
Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bahama hutia is the ONLY land mammal native to The Bahamas and is classified as an endangered species. Three of our cays host the only known populations of this particular species in the entire world.
Come out to hear about their exciting journey from Warderick Wells Cay to Ardastra and learn more about these unfamiliar but fascinating animals.
