Talking Marlins: Co-ops in The Bahamas Hosted by The Bahamas League of Cooperatives Limited and The Marlin Maker Co-op - Proposed
Tuesday 20th November 2018 7:00 PM
An informational meeting presenting the current state of Cooperatives in The Bahamas, and how persons can get involved by either starting a new Co-op or becoming a member of one.
You may have heard talk about Cooperative business before, or may have came across one of the many Cooperatives that have been formed over the past few years. However, on Tuesday, 20th November, you will get to be a part of a growing discussion about Cooperatives here in The Bahamas.
We all recognize that our national production rate is critically low. And we keep saying how "Black Crab Syndrome" and an "Education Gap" is crippling our society. It's time we actually do something about our system of working together, rather that continuing to highlight the symptoms.
Our generation of influencers must ignite a new way of working together that will finally increase our ability to take care of ourselves, by our own production and world-class ability.
Cooperatives are known for being a successful vehicle of operating together that reinforces the values of self-help, self
responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity.
Join us in a concentrated discussion on the development of Bahamian Cooperatives with key influencers of the Bahamian Cooperative Movement.
The meeting will start at 7:00pm with a brief mingle before the official Welcome at 7:15pm.
Light refreshments available.
