Wednesday 21st May 2014  2:00 PM

What: The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (BMT) and HBCUX, a new digital media network showcasing the diverse ?Xperiences? of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, will kick-off a unique partnership to host the first-ever American college football game in Nassau, Bahamas called the ?Bahamas HBCUX Classic.? The game between Central State (CSU) and Texas Southern (TSU) Universities will highlight a weekend of sun and fun including a ?battle of the bands? competition and a star-studded Caribbean Hip Hop Soul Tailgate Concert on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Why:The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism is setting aggressive goals to increase international
tourism to the Bahamas. Although tourism has steadily increased in recent years, the Ministry must seek innovative ways to continue the trend. In addition, as HBCUs face increased competition from larger institutions to attract students, they too must seek unique and creative ways to promote and publicize their schools to a broader audience.

When: Wednesday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m.
