Holocaust survivor Rena Finder will share her harrowing story


On Schindler?s List - Holocaust survivor Rena Finder will share her harrowing story of survival on Thursday, March 22 at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort. Thanks to generous corporate sponsorship, the event, On Schindler?s List, is free and open to the public with a screening of the award-winning film Schindler?s List from 2pm - 5:15pm followed by Finder?s moving talk at 6:30pm. At the age of 10, Rena and her family were captured by Nazis, her father whisked away never to be heard from again.


But after nearly a year of torture, mother and child were rescued by a German industrialist named Oskar Schindler whose bravery inspired the 7-time Academy Award-winning Steven Spielberg film Schindler's List. Finder is one of the last remaining survivors of Schindler's List and this is the first time she will tell her story of survival in The Bahamas.. Corporate sponsorship by Aetos Holdings Ltd, Atlantis, Banque Privee Edmond de Rothschild Ltd, Bank of The Bahamas (BOB), Colina, DP&A and ICD have made it possible to present the event without charge, but seating is limited and guests are asked to arrive early.
