London Glass' Exhibition

London Glass is the title of a new exhibition of work by London-born, Bahamian resident Zena Burland. She opens her home on Orange Hill on Wednesday, March 14th from 3pm to 9pm to showcase for the first time an offering of her own indigenous objet trouv? art.

Zena Burland was invited to The Bahamas in the mid-eighties and after her first visit, she fell in love with the country and its people. Since then, Zena has come back every year and her great love for The Bahamas eventually inspired her to purchase the lovely home in which she is having her first exhibition.

Zena has consistently been involved in the cultural traditions of the country and has been instrumental in helping many Bahamians advance in their dreams. She regularly mentors and assists Bahamian artists, musicians and athletes in furthering their global exposure, experiences, education and life goals.

Zena's artist name is "Lady B," and she enjoys exploring The Bahamas and its remote locations for inspiration for her work. The title "London Glass" was borne from two signature pieces in the exhibition which represent her love of her dual homes in England and The Bahamas.

Ten percent of all sales will be given to the Bilney Lane Children?s Home.
