Nassau, Bahamas - The
15th annual Cultural Festival took place over the October 16th and 17th
weekend at the Botanical Garden in Nassau. Thousands attended
throughout the weekend to idyllic weather conditions.The event offered
locals and tourists the opportunity to get a taste of the countries
participating whether it be through food, drink, dance, dress or
products sold from the particular country.

New
York, New York - It was a beautiful sunny day at Pier 66 on the Hudson
River in New York city this past Sunday, September 4th as hundreds came out to enjoy
Bahamas Cultural Day which is presented annually by the
Bahamian American Cultural Society.
The event featured Bahamian vocalist; Nita Ellis and Bahamian music, authentically Bahamian
foods, 'Kalik' beer, and Bahamian prizes.

The
final night of Junkanoo Summer Festival took place on July 29th of what
was said to be the best night yet. The annual favourite for locals and
tourists keeps getting bigger and better since moving to the idyllic
location of Taino Beach in Grand Bahama Island.
Over the four week event patrons of the Festival enjoyed a nature
trail; bush tea tasting; excursions out to the Ghost ship which was
featured in the German production of The Sea Wolf (Der Seewolf); live
entertainment in the way of Junkanoo rushoout, marching bands, the
Bahamian sounds of KB, Stileeto, Ancient Man, Terez Hepburn and many others;
Bahamian folk dancing; and the best tasting Bahamian food...

Freeport, Bahamas - The 2nd annual Agribusiness Expo got underway today in Grand Bahama at Goombay Park.
Agriculture
and Marine Resources Minister Lawrence S 'Larry' Cartwright was on hand
for the official opening and to provide remarks.
Ginger Moxey,
Vice President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority also attended the opening and toured the various booths
displaying vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants, food products and livestock produced locally

event to be part of the launch the newly-remodeled Breitling Boutique,
enjoy fine wines and food, along with entertainment by Visage and the

(Photos) Crabbin Bay Jr. Sailing Regatta Report
This past weekend Grand Bahama Sailing Club participated in the 1st Annual Crabbin' Bay Regatta & Festival.
The
community of McLeans Town invited GBSC to put on a sailing regatta
while activities and entertainment were running beach side. Food and
drinks were also available for sale from local venders. The Ministry of
Tourism was generous enough to provide food and awards for all 18 of the
GBSC sailors.
This
venue was the first time GBSC has showcased the new fleet of Flying
Juniors, a double-handed one-design sailing dinghy. This was also the
first time the GBSC junior sailors have competed in a Team Race event.

took place over the November 11th and 12th weekend and featured Tim Urban, Didi Benami, Prince Poppycock, Blake Lewis
world renowned Clint Holmes and Bahamian artist Alia Coley.
