Theodore
Elyett's
Miss Teen Bahamas
Organization's Contestant Launch Party. Under the theme, "It's
a Celebration: 5 Never Looked So Good", and the launch party marked the
beginning of this historic year for the pageant, as this season represents
5 years of beauty and excellence in Bahamian pageantry for the Organization.
The public came out in full force
to the Rainforest Theatre on July 30th to catch a glimpse
of the 22 exemplary young ladies all vying for the title of Theodore
Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas 2010. They were surely given a treat as
they were dazzled by the spectacular showcase produced by
Theodore
Elyett Productions.

Islands of the World Fashion Week Fourth Annual Event

In an effort to take the designers beyond the islands and into the broader fashion industry, Mode Îles Ltd, producers of IWFW, has partnered with noted fashion institute “Parsons The New School for Design”, to create this reality. IWFW 2010 award-winning designers David Rolle (Bahamas) and Theodore Elyett; “Runway to Fashion Week” winner (Bahamas), were each given the opportunity to attend Parsons for their Summer Studies program.
Leading up to the IWFW 2011 runway event in November, Mode Îles Ltd will once again host the "Islands of the World Fashion Tour"; a caravn of island-based designers, “Runway to Fashion Week” novice designer competition, the “Fashion in Film Series” and other innovative programs that will assist in creating the awareness of the fashion industry within island nations.

Teen pageant steers focus beyond the crown
THE 17 contestants of Theodore Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas Beauty Pageant and the organisation's reigning queen Ashlee Bain, spent a portion of their weekend engrossed in two very distinct community service initiatives. Under a mandate to produce teen beauty ambassadors who appreciate and nurture the value of community service; pageant organisers made special arrangements for their summer program participants to visit the Willie Mae Pratt Centre for Girls and they also partnered with the Dolphin Encounters Beach Buddy Program in an effort to protect and preserve the environment.

Ashlee Bain crowned Miss Teen Bahamas World

Self-proclaimed tomboy, 18-year-old, Ashlee Bain, won over the judges with her elegance and poise to walk away with the title Theodore Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas 2010/2011 over 20 other contestants at the Rainforest Theatre in the Wyndham Crystal Palace Hotel on Saturday.
"It has not sunk in that I am Theodore Elyett's Miss Teen Bahamas,"â said Bain after the win."I am still a bit overwhelmed but excited for the journey ahead. I realize that the title I hold is a prestigious one and I am glad I chose to enter[the]pageant because I have developed and I have seen improvement within myself."

series. Stemming from my curiosity and trying to find answers to my so
many questions like: Does the Bahamas have too many pageants? Is there
money in pageantry? How does one live off of pageantry, and is that even
possible? What benefits do they offer their country? or the queens?
I figured there had to be some misconceptions so I canvased for opinion online and then went to those in the know.
