Set in the swaying palm trees and picturesque balconies of ‘Old Nassau’ the Brass & Leather Shops opened its doors for business in 1960. The Shop was founded by Joan Thompson and the first location was nestled on a downtown Nassau side street called Marlborough Street.

Originally the shop sold beautiful brass and copper antiques catering to the tastes of both locals and tourists alike. As time changed, so did the fashions of Nassuvians and such The Brass & Leather Shops began importing handcrafted leather goods from Italy, Germany and England.

Today almost half a century after its inception, The Brass & Leather Shops offers 4 Locations in Nassau and one in Abaco. Exquisitely crafted leather goods, designer handbags, sophisticated accessories and leather shoes from across the globe can be found in all of the locations.
