The Latest Shore Tour - Oh Nassau

Begin the tour with a drive through the historic city of Nassau and a first stop ( for approximately 15 minutes ) at the Bahamas Rum Cake Factory. The factory produces several scrumptious flavors of rum cake like, Pina Colada, banana and Chocolate. Free samples is available at this stop.

Head across the 65-foot bridge that connects Nassau to Paradise island. Spend 30 minutes at the beautiful Cloisters, walk the slopes down to a gazebo at the water's edge. Take memorable photos of the lovely marble statute Silence. This monastery was built in the Xll -Xlll century in Montrejau France by the Augustinian Order, it was rebuilt in 1968 by J. J. Castremanne for Huntington Hartford.

The Queen's staircase is your next stop! carved out of solid limestone in the late 18th century this 102 feet staircase is a must-see attraction, climb - 65 steps to the top of Bennett's hill the highest point in Nassau and access Fort Fincastle built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore. Persons not able to climb the staircase can stay on board and be driven to the top . Here you can find a mini market with authentic handmade goods at bargain prices this is a 45 minutes stop.

Ready for a sweet treat? you will stop at the Graycliff chocolate Factory for about 20 minutes and see how chocolate is made at the end sample one of the 17 different flavors.

The John watlings Distillery is a local producer of rum, you'II have the chance to try a sample. Fort Charlotte is the largest fort in the Bahamas. This fort Was built in 1787 by Lord Dunmore the former governor of Virginia. Explore the interior chambers and gallon guns with a panoramic view of the western end of New Providence this is a 30 minutes stop.

Visit a local fruit stand you can also purchase coconut, sugar banana or star apples depending on the season this is a 10 minutes stop. Accords the street is Arawak Cay commonly know as the Fish Fry, a great place to try authentic Bahamian food, Junkanoo Beach is a great place to take photos of the cruise ships or just put your feet in the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Bahamas this is a 20 minutes stop.

Last stop is the Pirates museum, the year is 1716 this Interactive pirate attraction in the heart of downtown Nassau is filled with adventure and is only a 10 minute walk back to your cruise ship.
