The Danguillecourt Project (TDP) was founded in December 2006 to honour Sergio & Jacqueline Kriz Danguillecourt, who shared a passion for the natural and cultural heritage of the Bahamas.

Initially funded by family and friends of Sergio and Jackie, the first major project of TDP was to produce a coffee table book of scientific art called ?Islands of the Sun,? which depicts the wondrous habitats of the northern Exuma Cays.

Momentum spawned by this endeavor quickly fostered a host of educational activities, including the creation of the Young Bahamian Marine Scientist programme. Building on this momentum, TDP was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the Bahamas in 2009, operating in collaboration with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.

TDP is currently supported by a broad range of individuals and corporations who are committed to education and preservation of the unique Bahamian environment.
