It is with great sadness that I learnt of the death of Sir Joaquim Gonsalves-Sabola, retired Chief Justice and President of the Court of Appeal.

For 15 years, Sir Joaquim served The Bahamas as a member of the Judiciary. He served as an ordinary judge, Chief Justice and retired as the President of the Court of Appeal in 1999.
