Oceania talks confirmed for Jan. 25

Jan. 10 to be made public holiday

Prime Minister Perry Christie announced yesterday that his administration will make January 10 a public holiday, to observe the significance of Majority Rule, before the end of this term.
Christie said the day represents one of the singular moments in Bahamian evolution and should be celebrated just as Emancipation Day and Independence Day.
