Bad Experience after years of great service
My family and I have flown with Golden Wings Charter for years and used to think they were a great option. May, 2nd 2015 the pilot refused to fly us (and even refused to talk to us even though he was in the pilot lounge 30 feet from us in the lobby) citing weather issues. This was communicated to us by the booking agent, Shamickia. Thankfully Butler Aviation agreed to fly us so we were not stranded at the airport (where no other flight was affected by weather). The owner of Golden Wings Charter (who himself is a great guy and we have flown with before) did apologize to us in person after this incident. He explained that there indeed had not been bad weather and he had dismissed the pilot for the day because he "didn't know where the pilot's head was at." I am not sure if the pilot was ill, drunk, on drugs, etc, but the fact he refused to talk to us about why he wouldn't fly, makes me feel uneasy. Needless to say, we won't be flying with them again.
