IN THE BEGINNING

In the summer of 1961, a young and vibrant Curtis came to the capital from the island of Eleuthera and began his first sales position with insurance some three years later in 1964.

Curtis came well-prepared for Nassau, displaying his charming and well-mannered island-style ways of good old-fashioned home-training. He became instantly admired and respected by his employees, clients & employer alike - which soon led to the discovery of a new career path.

Real Estate Intervention

A sales position was created and offered to Curtis, of which he took immediately. Similar to insurance, real estate brought the interaction of clients interested in investing in their future. And, this was second nature for Curtis.

At each opportunity, he proved and succeeded in providing care, concern and ultimately deliverance of the Real Estate product to each client.

New Developments

All was not quiet with this ship on its new sails from Savannah Sound and this Eleutherian took his self-motivation, high-energy, personable skills and partnered with another 'great' in the field leading to 10 plus years of very successful business.

In 1985, Curtis acquired and developed over 3 acres of land off of West Bay Street and branched out exclusively under the name ' Curtis Thompson Real Estate' of where he currently operates today.

Loyalty & Beyond

With humble beginnings - Curtis always remembered his core and root, thus consistently giving back and supporting many in his community. So it is alright to say that his adult life is what he made it - a palate of great frienships, repeat clientele, and the respect of many in this warm and balmy climate.

After over 40 years in the Real Estate profession, it seems that it is 'all in the family' as his eldest child and only daughter, Dana, has become very active in the field, now re-launching the company promising and delivering.....Care, Concern & Consistency...."The Curtis Way"
