In addition to the renovation described above the house has been maintained regularly. In 2007 roll down hurricane shutters were installed on all the windows, including a large electric unit over the living room patio doors. The tile roof was replaced in 2009, including complete removal right down the the rafters, new plywood decking, new membrane underlayment and new Spanish tile on all three roof levels. Also in 2009 the air conditioner compressor was replaced and a new washer dryer and hot water heater were installed.

Vicky Knowles-Andrews was born in England, where she attended Bishop Blackall Grammar School in Exeter, in the county of Devon. She has lived in the Bahamas for more than 30 years. A former Bahamas National Tennis Champion and tennis professional, she is extremely active in local charitable and sporting activities. Vicky has three children. Her eldest son, Mark, is a touring tennis professional, while her daughter, Samara -- who has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations -- works in real estate. Her youngest child, Byron, is a qualified marine mechanic and boat captain. Vicky is a licensed agent and broker with the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) and recently achieved the B.R.I. designation, which is earned by meeting production and educational standards set by BREA. She joined H. G. Christie Ltd. in 2000 and today specialises in high-end beach and island properties. Vicky's favourite part of her job is, "meeting new people and helping them find their dream home."
