Block it!

Those who have played football, whether it's soccer, rugby, American football or Gaelic football, I bet many of my readers didn't know that in Ireland we have our own football which is a cross between soccer and rugby; all of these athletes will be fully aware of the term which is the title of this article, block it! That's right, players have to be constantly on their guard to be able to block a member of the opposite team from getting hold of the ball and thus being able to score a goal or points, as the case may be. Well my friend, likewise in playing the game of life, we've got to be constantly on our guard so that we can successfully block anything which is going to stand in the way of our progress toward the achievement of our goals.
Now one of the things which can be deadly as we pursue our goals and objectives in this game called life, are negative thoughts. That's right, you could be almost there and ready to score big in life, and then you start to doubt yourself and your ability to bring home the prize -- this is deadly, believe me. So, just as soon as you notice a negative thought starting to form in your consciousness, you need to, just like the football player, block it. Stop it from entering your consciousness and taking root there, as negative thoughts will cause you to lose big time, believe me. So, at the very first sign of any negativity whatsoever, you must spring into action and simply block it!
Of course, I've written about this subject before and will no doubt discuss it again in future articles as it's absolutely vital to you as you play the game of life endeavoring to score big time, again and again. We refer to this most important exercise as thought monitoring, and it's vital if we wish to continue to succeed in life. It means that you're constantly thinking about what you're thinking at all times. Just as soon as you realize that a negative thought is trying to score, simply block it before it can take root in your consciousness and thus result in you becoming a big time loser.
Yes my friend, in the game of life, you must at all times be very alert to the fact, that negative thoughts can cause you to fumble badly, drop the ball, and thus in the end, lose the whole game. So, always be on your guard and ready to block it.
