Community Leaders to Speak at the Lower The Cost of Power Mega Rally

The Coalition of Concerned Citizens continues it declare the message that the high cost of electricity must come down to an affordable level across Grand Bahama.

To further it message & movement, The Coalition will hold The Lower the Cost of Power Mega Rally on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 6:30 pm at KFC downtown on Pioneer’s Ways.

The Mega rally will have as speakers a number of community leaders such as Mr. Quinton Laroda -Vice President BUT, Ms. Michelle Dorset– President Commonwealth Hotel Union, Mr. Rudy Stubbs Vice President Bahamas Customs & Immigration Union, Mr. Osman Johnson- Attorney Rengin Johnson & Co., Mr. Roger Johnson –CCC and Pastor Eddie Victor- CCC.

During this rally a number of topics will be addressed such as Updates from the meetings with the Government, Grand Bahama Power CompanyEmera & Grand Bahama Port Authority, Reducing the Cost of Power through Technology & Solar Energy Systems, Purchasing Solar Energy Systems & Financing Solar Energy Systems.

Also, Information will be shared about the newly established Coalition Hotline and other exiting developments. Pastor Victor stated ‘The upcoming Mass Rally will be different than the previous rallies, apart from hearing from Community Leaders.

We will have Solar Energy System Vendors available to provide sales & installation services for secondary alternative power systems.’ In order to provide financing options, Banks & other financing institutions will be on hand to take applications for loans to purchase Secondary Solar Energy Systems.

What will prove to be one of the highlights of the Mass Rally is the presentation of the newly release computer app called ‘PMAX 77’.

This app will be able to calculate your true power consumption in your home each month. Presently the computer app is available on the Apple store and can be downloaded to an IPAD or IPHONE.

In a few weeks the ‘PMAX 77’ will be available on the Android platform which means that this app can be downloaded onto phones like the Samsung Galaxy and other Android phones.

During the rally there will also be a demonstration of Inverter technology. Inverters can greatly reduce power consumption on high energy electronics in your home such as split air-conditioning units.
