Four people accused of the shooting death of businessman Kurt McCartney denied committing the murder when they made their initial appearance in the Supreme Court yesterday.
Thorne Edwards, Okell Farrington, Lyndera Curry and Sumya Ingraham, all of Plantol Street, appeared before Justice Carolita Bethell.
They were previously charged with McCartney's murder in the magistrate's court last November.
It is alleged that they killed McCartney on October 24, 2013.
They are also charged with armed robbery.
McCartney, the younger brother of Democratic National Alliance (DNA) Leader Branville McCartney, was shot near a bar in Gambier Village and the perpetrators fled in his silver 2007 Hummer, according to police.
The defendants also pleaded not guilty to armed robbery.
Farrington and Edwards, who were not represented by attorneys, presented Justice Bethell with their individual notices of alibi.
However, Bethell said the notices did not provide adequate details, including the addresses of where they claimed to be at the time of the murder, and also the address of the witness who can corroborate their alibis.
Bethell asked the men to present the additional information at their next court appearance.
She said she would take note of their alibis.
Businessman Terry Delancy, 42, owner of Virgo Car Rental, was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.
Delancy pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He will return to court on May 1 for trial while Edwards, Farrington, Curry and Ingraham will return to court on May 2.
They were all remanded to prison except Delancy, who was granted $15,000 bail.
Several police officers stood guard outside the court during the arraignment.
Shortly after the murder, the McCartney family offered a $50,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction in the case.
