There may be light at the end of the tunnel for those thousands of CLICO policyholders whose policies went into limbo when the local arm of the insurance company folded up in February last year.
Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham disclosed over the weekend that a resolution could be reached by next month.
"I gave policyholders an undertaking that if by December the liquidator and others have not satisfactorily disposed of their matter that the government would cause them to be paid. That undertaking stills stands. December is next month," Ingraham disclosed during a meet the press event held at the British Colonial Hilton on Sunday.
