The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce's president has hit out at the "aggravating" new policies and procedures being implemented in Freeport by Bahamas Customs, warning that the uncertainty created is undermining the fight for survival being undertaken by the city's private sector.
K P Turnquest told Tribune Business that the main concern among Freeport businesses, as it related to Customs' demands for a monthly report on over-the-counter bonded goods sales and the new link established to being current with National Insurance Board (NIB) payments, was: "Where do you stop?"
