Police identified the man who was shot and killed on Panza Court on Tuesday as Troy Bodie, who The Nassau Guardian understands was out on bail for possession of a firearm and other serious crimes.
Bodie, 26, was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery. Additionally, he was accused in relation to several other shootings, but it is unclear if he was ever convicted of a crime.
According to police, Bodie shot a man in a yard on Panza Court around 9:30 a.m. before he was shot by a third man.
Both men were transported to hospital.
Bodie died in hospital around 9 p.m., according to police.
The other victim was in stable condition yesterday, police said.
Police were questioning a 20-year-old man of Fleming

Street yesterday in connection with the matter.
He reportedly turned himself in to officers at the Central Detective Unit around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters at the scene, Superintendent Stephen Dean said there was no question the shooting was related to several other shootings that occurred days before.
While he did not indicate which ones were related, Dean said, "Based on what we can say about our analysis on these matters, it is tit for tat, so to speak, retaliation, where people hold feuds and are not giving up -- protecting various turfs."
Police recovered a handgun and shotgun from the scene, according to Dean.
Tuesday's murder came after three other murders; one on Monday and two the day before.
A driver found a man shot to death on his jitney around 6 p.m. on Monday, police said. The details surrounding that incident remain unclear.
Dior Johnson, 26, of Spice Street, was shot around 4 p.m. on Sunday in front of the Phoenix Cafe chinese restaurant on East Street South.
Earlier that day, two armed men on a motorcycle shot a man in front of PiC-AX Tyre Repair on Moore Avenue, which is next to an Urban Renewal center, police said. He died in hospital.
Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade revealed earlier this year that of the 119 murders recorded in 2013, 39 cases were retaliation from ongoing feuds between people who knew each other.
In 17 of the murders, conflict was the motive.
Police have recently been placed back on extended shifts, The Guardian has confirmed.
