Straw vendors could face $100K fine

Vendors Gayle and Roshanda Rolle, who admitted to conspiring to traffic counterfeit goods from the United States, may be forced to pay more than $100,000 in restitution to several luxury goods companies. The vendors were both released after being sentenced separately to time served by a New York Federal Court. They were also placed on three years' probation. However, the judge also ordered they pay restitution, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The amount will be determined following the court's approval of consultations between the prosecution and the defense, the statement said.
