A group of sixth grade students from the Grand Bahama Academy of Seventh-day Adventists got into the spirit of the Christmas season early, by deciding to share their wealth with their brothers and sisters who are residents of the Grand Bahama Children's Home.

At the beginning of the school year, the class selected class officers -- Diondre Albury, Raeon Stewart and Ostonya Thomas -- they met and decided that their class project would be to bring joy to their peers. One of the projects they decided on was to collect canned goods and donate them to the Children's Home.

At the completion of their end of term exams, the students visited the home to share their bounty and in the joys of Christmas. Along with the presentation of the food, the students engaged the children and staff at the home in a short devotional exercise, with a prayer by Diondre Albury, song by Sabbath Bethel along with a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas by Raeon Stewart. The students along with their teacher, Avoney Wellington, sang a medley of Christmas carols for the children. They concluded their visit with their peers at the home by sharing cupcakes with them.
