The first long course swim meet for the 2010/2011 swimming season will be hosted by the Barracuda Swim Club at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Center. Top swimmers from New Providence and Freeport, Grand Bahama are expected to hit the water today and Saturday. The meet, which is sanctioned by the Bahamas Swimming Federation (BSF) and sponsored by Family Guardian Insurance is being used as a pre-qualifier and tune-up for the Plantation Gold Coast Swimming Invitational, set for November 19-22 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Unlike the Florida-based meet where several divisions will be contested, swimmers will compete in only two this weekend, the nine and over as well as an open. Races on the first day...
