NEMA Partially Activates to Monitor Tropical Storm Tomas

Capt-onTS-Tomas-NEMA4679-SM.jpg NASSAU, The Bahamas - The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, activated its National Emergency Operations Centre, on Thursday, November 4, 2010 to track and monitor Tropical Storm Tomas and its potential impact on the southeast Bahamas. The Bahamas Department of Meteorology issued a hurricane warning for the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Southeast Bahamas, which includes the islands of Inagua, Mayaguana, Long Cay, Acklins, Crooked and Ragged Island.
