A German man and Columbian woman were arrested yesterday after an illegal shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle were found on a vessel, Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) authorities said.
RBDF Lieutenant Origin Deleveaux said RBDF officers conducted a routine search of an 85-foot yacht around 10 a.m. at the Nassau Yacht Marina where the illegal guns were found.
He said officers also found 250 shotgun rounds.
The pair was handed over to police, he added.
