SOUTH FLORIDA - Growing in popularity every year and celebrating twenty-three years in 2010, the weekend long festival salutes the community’s rich pineapple heritage and celebrates the people, visitors, and friends of Jensen Beach.

The Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce produces the Pineapple Festival which features events for the entire family, world-class concerts, arts, crafts, midway rides, local bands, student musicians, stunt shows, and street performers.

The inaugural Pineapple Festival was held in the fall of 1988 in conjunction with the Jensen Beach Centennial Celebration. The first event drew approximately 15,000 people to the historic downtown Jensen Beach during its’ 3-day run.

In 1990 Jensen Beach, Florida and Gregory Town, Eleuthera established a sister-city relationship. In 2010, the Festival will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the friendship. Gregory Town residents host their own Pineapple Festival each June. During the Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival a delegation from Eleuthera creates an authentic Bahamian Market featuring island music, crafts, food, and the heart pounding rush of the Junkanoo parade.
