Theater
The 5th annual Shakespeare in Paradise Theatre Festival opened Friday, October 4. This year's signature Shakespearean production is "The Shrew", an adaptation of Shakespeare's "The Taming of The Shrew". The signature Bahamian production is E. Clement Bethel's folk opera, "The Legend of Sammie Swain". Also featured will be "Speak the Speech 2" and "d'bi.young anitafrika: The Sankofa Trilogy" as well as the annual Play Reading Series, a dub poetry and drama workshop and a 5th anniversary art exhibition.
