A mother and her toddler son are nursing gunshot wounds in hospital after being ambushed by two gunmen over the
weekend. Assistant Superintendent Walter Evans reported that the mother, while in the area of Muttonfish Drive Golden Gates
around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, was driving with her two-year-old son when two men emerged from a bushy area and fired shots at her vehicle.

The mother and son both received injuries to their left legs. They were transported to hospital by a private vehicle and were listed in stable condition.
