A teenage visitor to The Bahamas was reportedly sexually assaulted on Paradise Island on Monday morning, Assistant Commissioner of Police Leon Bethell confirmed last night.

Bethell said the girl reported the incident to police on Monday and two Bahamian men were being questioned in connection with the incident by officers from the Central Detective Unit (CDU).

"We got a report of a young lady who reported that she was sexually molested and as a result an investigation was launched," he said.

Bethell did not disclose the age of the girl or where she is from.
