History has a way of suddenly appearing when most of us thought we were only living our lives.

History happened in 1967 when we, the Bahamian people, finally achieved self-government.

It happened again a short six years later when The Bahamas became fully independent.

As part of celebrations of forty years of independence, a new photo exhibition has been mounted at the Albert Lowe Museum on Green Turtle Cay.

The photo exhibits fall into four major categories. The first part of the exhibit focuses on the museum's founding and formal opening.
