A jury yesterday convicted a man of the murder of a fast food restaurant manager.
Simeon Bain, who represented himself, is responsible for the September 19, 2009 death of 21-year-old Rashad Morris, the jury found.
According to the prosecution's case, Bain seduced Morris, whom he later picked up at the Burger King location on Charlotte Street and took to the location on Tonique Williams Darling Highway.
Bain stabbed Morris when he could not open the safe at that branch, the prosecution alleged.
However, Bain claimed that officers from the Central Detective Unit beat a confession out of him.
Bain returns to court for sentencing in June. He remains on remand at Her Majesty's Prisons.
