A Prominent Bahamian businessman and his family crashed with their Cessna 172 Skyhawk in Little Whale Cay in the Berry Islands around 3pm today.
While his family members, including his wife and his parents all sustained slight injuries, the pilot suffered serious head injuries.
The crash was reportedly due to a gust of wind hitting the plane, causing it to clip a tree and making it go down.
The US Coast Guard is currently attempting to stage an emergency evacuation.
