This has been an exciting year for soccer. The World Cup was held in South Africa and spread soccer fever across the continents. Of course the excitement was felt here as many Bahamians focused on the two-week competitive extravaganza. Also, The Bahamas has another reason to feel good about the sport of soccer.
Around World Cup time in July, Lesley St. Fleur was connecting with Milltown FC in the Canadian Soccer League. In the league, for just half a season, St. Fleur is spearheading a drive to the regular season title. He has 10 goals from 12 matches.
