BFA Mourns the Passing of Goalkeeper Paul Pablo Johnson

Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas Football Association
mourns Paul "Pablo" Johnson, who passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Paul spent much of his life involved in football, joining the sport at an early
age and playing for a number of years as one of the country's top goalkeepers. After
coming out of high school, he started his career in 1968 with the Dynamos
Youth, before joining the Dynamos Senior team the following year. He then
played for a few years with the Red Lions Football Club before leaving to join Nicks
Body Shop (currently United FC) in the 1974-75 soccer season, where he played
out the remainder of his career.

Being an outstanding player at
his position of goalkeeper, Paul was named to national teams at an early age,
and represented the Bahamas in international competitions from 1969. In fact in
his first five games as goalkeeper for the Bahamas National Team...
