Fashion, food, laughter and fun made the 49th annual Heart Ball a great success, organizers say. Held under the theme, “Save a Little Heart ... Embrace the Opportunity”, was held on Saturday night at Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort.

Coretta Owen, co-chair of the Heart Ball Committee, said: “This was truly a fantastic, and exciting event. Everybody had a great time. “We raised funds to help repair children’s hearts. We are truly grateful to our sponsors, donors and patrons. Without you, we could not help the children.

“We are looking forward to the 50th Heart Ball in 2014. We encourage the public to make donations to further assist with heart care”. The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation is a non-profit organisation that helps to repair children’s hearts. To date, more than 4,000 patients have benefitted from the Heart Foundation.
