Prosecutors begin case against murder-accused

Prosecutors yesterday opened their case against Angelo Poitier, who is on trial for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Shenise Adderley.
Adderley's body was found on May 27, 2009 in a grave in the Bahamas Veterans'Cemetery on Infant View Road.
Prosecutor Sandra Dee Gardiner told the jury panel that Adderley was dating someone else when she was killed. Gardiner said,"She was not married. She was not his property. You will decide whether she deserved to die."
According to Gardiner, Adderley lived with her family on Providence Avenue and they last saw her alive on May 26. Gardiner said police came to the family home hours later and asked if they ...
