Sanitation Services Employees Go Above And Beyond Their Duties

Freeport, Grand Bahama -- After receiving a wonderful letter from Mail Boat Assistant Manager, in Grand Bahama, Clifford Storr, praising his staff's dedication to their jobs; General Manager of Sanitation Services, Lou Carroll, wanted to acknowledge his hard working staff this month. "We have some very dedicated employees at Sanitation Services and in the last few months they have excelled in helping out in their community," said Carroll. 

"It was very rewarding to receive this letter and we wanted to show our appreciation to Joseph Similen and McDonald Cooper for their exemplary work ethic." The email to Sanitation Service noted, 'For years I have observed the two men carrying out their duties keeping Queen's Highway & West Sunrise Highway free of litter some irresponsible persons discard. In my view they are to be commended for their diligence, dedication & faithful service rendered to the island. They play a vital role in your company's goal of maintaining our streets," wrote Storr.

He added, "Please convey my gratitude to these two hardworking members of your team and I trust that your management sees it appropriate to recognize them in a meaningful way for a job well done.' Joseph a 15-year veteran employee and McDonald a 5-year employee at Sanitation will be rewarded for their loyal service said CEO Carroll. "These guys pick up litter every day and walk anywhere from 15-20 miles a day keeping Grand Bahama clean and pristine. They are dedicated staff and we will reward them for their loyal service."
