The mother of murder accused Kenton Dion "Emperor" Knowles, whose son Dario was also recently murdered, said last night she hopes her son and grandson will rest in peace. Beverley Knowles said she has had enough of the scandal surrounding her son's life and death. "My son, Kenton Dion Knowles, has been dead for a whole year and everyone... is focusing on him and I don't think it's right," she said.

"I had enough scandal with him when he first died and I feel as though you should let my son rest in peace. "I don't see why you should bring up the past of Kenton Dion when it was Dario who just died." Dario Knowles, of Step Street, Fox Hill, was shot to death on Lincoln Boulevard, off Cordeaux Avenue, around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. He was found lying lifeless in the street, shortly after several gunshots were heard in the area.

Sources in the police force said the murder appeared to be gang related. Police said last night they are still looking for those responsible for his murder. While Beverley Knowles was reluctant to get into any specifics about her grandson she said she loved him dearly. "Well Dario is dead now and I hope he's resting with his father, and I feel that is as much the public needs to know about him," she said.

"That's my grandson and I loved him dearly and I will always love him." Kenton Dion Knowles was shot and killed on July 27, 2011, at Faith Avenue and Sir Milo Butler Highway, near Texaco gas station. He was reportedly riding a motorcycle when a vehicle knocked him off and at least one gunman opened fire on him with a machine gun. He was previously accused of murder and drug trafficking, though he was never convicted of either charge. No one has been charged with his murder.
