An Eleuthera man was arraigned in Supreme Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder.

Jenaldo Farrington, 23, of Hatchet Bay, appeared before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs facing a charge of murder and three counts each of attempted murder and causing grievous harm, bringing the total number of charges to seven. It is claimed that on December 28, 2009, he murdered 21-year-old Teron Albury. Albury of Gregory Town, Eleuthera, was stabbed in the neck when he tried to intervene in a row between two men at Daddy Joe’s Restaurant and Nightclub in Gregory Town.

He was taken to the local clinic, where he died a short time later. It is further claimed that Farrington tried to kill Kenard McSweeney, Alexander McSweeney and Warren Cartwright by stabbing them, causing grievous harm to the men in the process. Farrington denied the accusations and pleaded not guilty to all seven charges. His date for trial was set to November 11, 2013 before Justice Bernard Turner.
