What better place to stir something up than at the resort named after the man who sang "Stir It Up" -- Bob Marley. Actually, the principals in T.O.T. Entertainment couldn't think of a better place to host Climax 2 Stir it Up! The event being billed as two parties in one with an indoor and outdoor affair will be held on Saturday, August 18 at the Marley Mansion at the Bob Marley Resort on West Bay Street and will cater to the fabulous, young professional looking for a good time. And they promise that it will be even better than Climax I.
"The entire resort is rented, but what will take this event over the edge is the amount of detail that has gone into planning it," said Taran Mackey, one of the founding members of T.O.T Entertainment. "We are setting this event up like it has never been done before, and it's coming from the creative minds of the promoters, so we know everyone will have a great time," said Mackey.
The all-day affair will start off very casually with a pool party at 1 p.m. offering music, drinks and entertainment to encourage hardworking professionals to sit back and relax from the long work week. The second part of Climax which starts at 10 p.m. will be anything but casual. Patrons are expected to dress to impress as the Marley Resort will be transformed into the chicest of venues and patrons can dine on finger foods and unwind.
Adding star power to the event should be the appearance of the country's Olympic gold medal winning men's 4x400-meter relay team. "We wanted to offer them (men's relay team) an invitation to relax from some of the more conservative events they have been attending and they jumped at it," said Mackey. According to the organizer, the time and attention paid to the event is what will makes Climax II an event something that should not be missed.
"We have literately spent entire weekends sitting in the venue and planning and making sure this event will be the very best we put on, and that level of detail and elegance is what our patrons can expect. A lot of our personal attention and passion has gone into this and we want to bring that out," said Mackey.
"The last party was huge and about 650 people showed up. What will make this party special is that everyone will have a good time and just enjoy the music in a safe and classy environment," said Mackey. According to the organizer, their events are different from anything on the island and they ensure that their parties are as elegant and chic as possible.
"There is a niche in the entertainment scene that we hope to fill with our style of events," said Mackey "We try to make the events classier and upscale and we have found our fan base of young professionals who want to have fun but in an upscale environment." Music for this hot party is expected to be provided by DJ Fines who is expected to keep patrons dancing nonstop as he spins all the hits. Climax 2 Stir It Up!
