Asue Draw webshop director Kenneth Fountain yesterday awarded $30,000 in scholarships to 19 students across the country. The Outstanding Achievers Scholarship Program is in its second year and has so far awarded $60,000 in scholarships to over 60 students in The Bahamas. "We give out the funds to students that made a B grade and above," said Fountain during the event at the British Colonial Hilton.

The program awards scholarships to primary and high school students, but Fountain said he hopes to one day include college students.

The program helped 32 students across The Bahamas last year, according to Levin Wilson, marketing executive for Asue Draw. Sebas Bastian, CEO of Island Luck, revealed last month that the representatives from the FML Group of Companies, Asue Draw, Island Game and Island Luck had joined forces to form the 'We Care' coalition to assist in crime prevention, education and community-based initiatives.
